La asociación de críticos de Los Ángeles entregó sus premios a lo mejor del año este fin de semana junto con su equivalente en Boston y Whashington, se destaca que The Zone Of Interest de Jonathan Glazer es de los films mas premiados,; en la categoría de película internacional se quedó a un escaño la película mexicana de Lila Avilés quedando en el segundo lugar en la primera de estas asociaciones, por detrás de la ganadora de la Palma de Oro Anatomía de una Caída.
Otro premio destacado es el de mejor guion que fue para All of Us Strangers de Andrew Haigh, lo cual desde mi punto de vista resulta muy sorpresivo ya que tuve la oportunidad de ver ese fil en el pasado Festival de Morelia 2023 y no me pareció nada realmente destacable.
Otro destacado es que en película animada dos de las tres asociaciones de críticos dieron el premio a la película de Hayao Miyazaki The Boy and The Heron, por encima de Spider-Man Across The Spiderverse, veremos si esta es una tendencia creciente y ver al gran animador japonés alzar el Oscar.
Más allá de eso estos premios nos dan una idea de por dónde van las sensibilidades de los involucrados en la industria más grande de cine en el mundo y ver una película mexicana de bajo presupuesto en ese contexto hasta el top es interesante.
